DEE SNIDER - Stand (Official Video) | Napalm Records

DEE SNIDER says about the "Stand" music video:
"While I didn't write 'Stand' for the Station nightclub fire documentary 'America’s Deadliest Rock Concert: The Guest List', it is a perfect fit. The full tragedy of that horrific night was the despicable lack of support shown for a community in desperate need. 'Stand' speaks to the importance for us all to recognize these moments of desperation and do something about them. 'Don't leave your mark... leave a scar!'"

Was spinning the new Ghost cd "Impera" in the car yesterday and it's freakin cool. So unique, they sound like no one else out there. The closest I can come to is Blue Oyster Cult meets 70's pop, meets 80's early 90's hardrock/metal. Such a melting pot! If you liked the last two albums, this is a must get.

Love this one, super melodic and catchy, yet oddly weird, which is what makes it Ghost! :woohoo:

New Lep! Pretty cool, not super heavy, but often the "singles" are the most commercial. But I dig it :horns:

> Symphonic Metal Visionaries VISIONS OF ATLANTIS to Release New Album, Pirates, on May 13 via Napalm Records!

Being a power/epic/symphonic fan, I hear quite a few bands, it seems almost weekly, that climb on that wagon. To me, most are mediocre copies of masters like Epica, Kamelot and Rhapsody of Fire.
I have heard this band in the past and they were decent, but nothing the made me jump and go get the cd's.
This new album, which is about Pirates (ok, got may attention there) seems to have more mature writing (as far as making it interesting and have a "flow") and the production is spot on. Clémetine Delauney sounds (and looks!) amazing.

So I'm following this one close to see if it makes the must get list :hbang1:

Bumped across this band yesterday from a label I follow on YT (Scarlet Records out of Italy). Seems they have been around for something like 11 years, but this is the first I have heard of them. The Helloween influence is there for sure (note the band name too) and the singer sounds quite a bit like Kiske.
That being said, the tune kicks major ass and is killer power metal. This may be sacrilege to say, but I dig this tune more than any song off the latest Helloween album (IMO).
