Saw a vid where Malmsteen was blasting Ron saying this tune was "Boring as Fuck"! (I agree).
It certainly does not live up to Steeler level, would have been a good Keel tune. They should have asked YM if he wanted to participate

New Avantiasia! Album drops Feb 2025 :hbang1:

Have not followed these ladies much, but this is cool tune, very Priest like! Will have to look into this latest release.
On a superficial note, that guitarist is effin hot! And can shred! :silly:

Tommy's (for those that do not know) main gig is Sabaton, so this is his side classic style power project. They did a Scrooge/Christmas Carol theme album a few years ago and it is killer, seek it out!

If I had seen just the vid without hearing the song, I would have thought it was a high school nerd reunion LOL. But honestly, the tune kicks ass, one of the best symph/power songs I have heard in quite awhile.
I'm in! :horns:

Gonna go out on a limb a bit with this one! I'm not a huge fan of "core" style metal, that came from hard core, but there has been some offshoots and one is MetalCore. This is a blend of hardcore with more traditional metal riffs, breakdowns, etc. There has been very few, even in that genre that I have taken too, bedsides Stellarvis (have posted a few things from them in the past here), but I keep an open mind about all styles.
I kept hearing about a band called SpiritBox and they sure seem to have a following. I think the were nominated for a Grammy, so crossing over a bit to the mainstream. Some have noted they are the future of this style of metal. Eternal Blue, their first full length; did not care of that much, beside Circle With Me tune which is fuckin wicked. They dropped an 7 song Ep last year (The Fear of Fear) and this one is amazing. They have a new full length coming out this year and so hope it is more of this style. They have shifted their sound quite a bit, but seems they are hitting their stride now.
Courtney LaPlante is amazing, can go from angel voice to scream in a second, and unlike most "screamers" she can really adjust her tone and key level instead of "flat screaming" which is more typical to this style. So quite refreshing.

Jaded is one of the best metal songs I have heard in a really long time and the one that seemed to launch them to the next level. I'm surprised I did not bump across this earlier.
Cellar Door is the heaviest tune they have dropped, just fucking brutal the whole way through and the breakdown is maybe the heaviest I have EVER heard, holy shit.
Circle With Me, this is from the first full length and is more to like what they seemed to evolve too. I added the live song through so you can see Courtney's skill.
