Wow getting quite the complex here today....3 songs I requested are getting pretty poor ratings...oh well...to each his own...but when you only have like 2-4 people rating songs....its really hard to gauge...

what's really cool about HR80's is that even if others rate a song as terrible, you can still request it whenever you feel like hearing one of your personal favs (regardless of others' opinions) :)

Zero....true true....just wonder what people hate so much that they rate a really decent song so low...
is it because they have never heard it?....its not quite the "80's" genre and they rate it low for that reason?....do they think it sucks based upon musicianship?
I personally tend to downgrade songs that I do not feel fit the website and/or suck....but if its decent music....like say Billy Idol (a few of his)....I will still rate it decently and not completely trash it....
I dont know...its to each his/her own right...guess that when eveyone starts paying the money for maximum requests...they can play what they want...Just makes me think.....but I tend to do too much of that anyway....LOL

yeah, I know, plus we all have an emotional tie to the music we like. I don't like it when I see one of my favs trashed as a 1 or 2 rating either, but what can ya do, right?

Yeah....I do know that there is some music on here that I truely do not think has much musical merit at all...and thats why I rate it poorly...I just cant see the value in it at all...
But when I see value in something and someone else sees is as crap...its kinda hard to take...I guess its an ego thing....now if I was on HardFlannelrocker.com.....I would understand....just always thought I had a fairly decent ear...
Guess I just need to get over myself....Right?

Perfect example of what I am talking about...I personally am not a fan of Slayer...I really dont think they fit the Genre...
BUT....how can you NOT rate this song around an 8-9 just based upon the quality of the song and its hooks and what it has to offer musically...
Currently this song rates below a 5 average...WTF????
dont understand that...not bad at all....I kinda dig this tune...
