I've seen Metal Skool - now Steel Panther - live and they are great. The recordings however, start to wear thin after a couple of spins. I suppose the live performance would too if you saw them every week. These guys are terrific musicians though, and really nice guys as well. I've seen them as Atomic Punks also. There is no denying the talent.
There is a review of Steel Panther in the latest issue of Music Connection.
> I actually liked "And We Danced" by the Hooters. I still have that album on vinyl - although it hasn't seen the light of day in years.

Great album, I have this one on vinyl also..was called Nervous Night..has All you Zombies, And we Danced and Day by Day on it. I also have the follow up, One Way Home, that had some semi-hits (Washington's Day, Satellite), but did not fare as well as Nervous Night although it is a solid release.

I still spin these on occasion and at one time made a tape of my fave tunes from the two albums. I should do that on cd.

I agree with everything you say here. I just don't like the recorded metal skool songs. Live? OUTSTANDING
I do not remember if I have Nervous Night still or not.

I think I have Hooterization, grestest hits, but since I did not know their later stuff, I did not play it very often.
Thanks Skulls - for Ninja from Europe - Love that song!!!

No probs Andie! Glad you enjoyed!
Love the Hooters!

When I was working for Richie Kotzen's band I once did lights for the Hooters when they played the old Chestnut Caberet in Philly. Nice dudes. Just thought you'd all like to know that.

While I'm here, let's throw a Znuff tune out here, this one has been idle way too long...

Thanks for tossing that one in "Skulls. I can't decide if this album or Strength is my favorite Z'Nuff album. Really looking forward to the new stuff, now that Donnie is back in the band.
SouthGang - "Group Therapy" = Good album
Definitely liking the SouthGang. But I see the whiny bastard's up next...
Listen closely to the Whiney Bastard, and tell me if you hear snippets of the melody from "True" by Spandau Ballet, or is it just me?
For those of you not in the chat room - you missed a terribly wonderfuly accurate description of Davy Vain's 7 minute song - from all who love him!!
"I know this much is TRUE" Davy makes the ears and the scrote hurt.
Anyone else's mom get real crafty and decide to make homemade suckers with those little white sticks??

Never had a TS mold - nor ever had someone look like that ask for one.
Vinnie Vincent Invasion "That Time Of Year"

I know Dave gets (most of) the credit for writing, but when Marty Friedman was in the band is when their best stuff was produced, IMHO.
Turbo,
