> I really do like Lab's idea of user song ratings determining the requestability of songs - that lets the community decide what should be requestable. That would, in theory, allow the shittier songs (regardless of artist) to be requested only soo often, if ever. However, I think there also needs to be a certain number of user ratings before affecting the ability to request. So there would need to be some sort of a consensus (ie 5 or more different user ratings for a particular song) before the rating would be come effective. Does that make sense? That way one or two people cannot dictate what is and isn't requestable.
I like this idea too. I envision it looking something like this...

That is hilarious! Great job Keir!
That crack whore comment on my station bumper gets more mileage... too funny, Kier! :woohoo:

This is quite possibly the worst piece of crap I've ever heard on this station.

I'll be the first to admit that Celtic Frost belongs here. And I am sure many of you may have been overjoyed to hear this track played on the Day Crew in all of it's tortuous fourteen minute and twenty-five second existence.

But not me. And not Rockhead apparently.

A rare moment indeed for me at HardRockin80s.com but the volume went all the way down and, frankly, that was bad form. I could request plenty of 15 minute tracks every day but I don't out of respect to the HR80s faithful.

'nuff said

EDIT:

It's just really weird to hear this track here at HardRockin80s man!!!

I realize that at the time, these guys were most likely singing phonetically, but these are the most trite, cliche'd and hackneyed lyrics I've heard in a long time. Makes Steel Panther sound like Lennon and McCartney.B)

SAM has a total infatuation with this record.

I've been on since about 730a CST and this is the fourth track from this record.

We have TONS of new additions to the station why is this being played SO MUCH????

:smashpc:
Holy fuck! This is at least the fifth song today by this band.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Day Crew I want you to look in the queue...what in the name of Metal do you see???

ANOTHER Crashdiet track...

On the other hand SAM FINALLY cooperates on HR80s Thrashing Thursday

I spend my mornings here alone, guys, and half of the tracks I listen to are from that Crashdiet album, new Harem Scarem.... and some other new realeases. I love some of those bands but this seems a bit too much...

I've been a Sammy fan for a very long time and love much of what he has done, but man, so far, this release has sucked. Every tune seems to be very blues influenced (which I only like in small doses) and the songs are really, really generic even for Hagar style tunes. He needs to back away from the "country" friends a bit I think; that may be the problem with this release.
Although Neil Schon and Joe and Mike show up on here, looking more forward to the new HSAS and Chickfoot.
Metalero,

Great block of Sabbath tunes, bro! My H&H Live track dropped into the perfect place. :hbang1:
Thanks Doc & fbf...I'll try to take some cool pictures of the show tomorrow and post them on facebook.
