Slick, I thought they were going post season for sure but that division they are in is killing them. Still a good record over all but now in third place. Same with the Nats whom actually have a worst over all (just above .500 again) but they are in second, but 4th in Wild Card. That ain't gonna happen. Still going down to DC for a game though in a few weeks, the beer is still flowing either way :beerme:

Brewers out too so who do we watch for post season?
I like watching the Pirates right now, they are busting it hard! Oakland is fun to watch to, it's always cool to see "low budget" teams kick ass :horns:

Should be fun and as soon as they wrap it up it will be College Basketball time :woohoo:

I agree on the "low Budget" teams and would like to see the Pirates do something...theyve had a dryspell about as long as the Orioles. Although Im still pissed about that 79 series!

There is no question that the music was outstanding last night, but every time that steaming load opens his mouth, he kills the moment. His forced delivery is beyond obnoxious. I bet he was picked on and ridiculed serverly as a kid.
I was listening last night... when he started in with that shrilling scream while the music plays, I was done.

The show is more about him than the music.

John O???brien and John Mahoney made it all about the music.

> Hard Rockin 80s Labor Day Top 50

How long ago was this show put together?

"Listeners" introducing songs haven't been on the site in a coon's age!!!

Nice to have an in-house produced show on and the music is, of course, quite good.

Happy Labor Day!

:beerme:
:horns:
I was gonna ask if this "Labor Day - Top 50" was new or a re-broadcast, but then I heard my voice announce #47 AC-DC's "Shook Me All Night Long" and it was clear to me - a repeat....but still great!!!

Now, how many years ago? 2 or 3 or ???

I sent in the shows from 2008 and 2009 for Chris to play today!
I'm enjoying this, it's great to hear you guys for once!
Now playing Wildside - How Many Lies, the introduction to the song was perfect, I'd have said the exact same thing.

How many of these are there around? And any chance to make a new one?
I can't remember how these songs were picked. Top requests?

Enjoy your day off!!

Hey Dale,
5 years!?! WOW, time does fly!!! It's been such a long time since we did that, I can't remember which Day Crew member introduced which tunes. Do you have a list somewhere? I know I did about 5 or 6. Who did the Wildside intro??? (I was away from my desk...and if it was me, I am REALLY losing it, ha!).

"Me Against the World" - Lizzy Borden

Nice job Diamond Dave from the Day Crew!

Won't spoil it for the new members.

Was #1 the same in 2008 and 2009?

Thanks!!! It was really fun to do those intros. I did them via phone on Chris' voice mail, if I remember correctly. I had about 4 intros in the 40's & 30's then nothing until the teen's and Top 10....I think, ha!!! But I am listening too, to hear this all again.

I too remember the #1 tune, and it was a surprise  But a great tune, IMO!!!
Yeah! #1 is a great great tune....I think it is 2009, that's when I started listening heavily to HR80s.
I have one of the metal lessons shows (July 2008) and Hairball John shows (May 2008) saved too. Was listening to them over the weekend because my daughter is going to be hosting a radio show every Saturday night from 8-10 Mountain Time at here campus radio station. She is going to do the Rocker Chick Chicks That Rock Show..

www.facebook.com/UNCSRChicksThatRock go like her page (dear ol dad is going to assist in material)

As an active guy with limited computer access, I would like to send out a HUGE THANK YOU for the HR80s phone app! It has allowed me to listen more than ever before!!!!!

:woohoo:
