Someone must have recorded this from LP on 33 rpm instead of 45 rpm. It's SLOOOOOOOOOW and sloppy. Sounds like a Death Metal band covering this great 220 Volt tune.

Ahhh, Note to Chris....
Dead_Again, THANK YOU for pushing King Of The Kill up! It used to be a solid 9.

Dale, I haven't heard 'Feast' yet but's been getting great reviews! I haven't seen anything less that a 9 out of 10 for it so far! Just might have to listen to the show!

My pleasure, I just hate seeing a kick ass tune with low ratings or no rating at all.

If it can't be every Thursday, then I suppose I can compromise for the 2nd Thursday of the month. See Congress, its not that hard.

I'm in! as long as we can pick through the ratings system although it seemed pretty open today. :hbang1:
I'm not usually tuned in on Thursdays but when I am I request thrash. Here are some of the thrash bands (or bands with occasional thrash tendencies) that are rated 1 and 2:

Annihilator
Anthrax
Armored Saint
Avenger (GER)
Blood Money
Death Angel
Exciter
Exodus
Flotsam & Jetsam
Heretic
Laaz Rockit
Megadeth
Meliah Rage
Metal Church
Metallica
Overkill
Pantera
Pariah
Reverend
Satan
Slayer
Suicidal Tendencies
Testament
Venom
Wrathchild America
Metallica - No Leaf Clover (5:43)
(By Request)

From: S&M Disc 1

When grabbing CDs to listen to I forget what a KICK ASS CD set this is. I need to pull it out and knock the dust off of it.

Great pick ???Skulls! :hbang1:

Thanks Doc! Many have tried the symphony with metal thing and I think this is one of the most credible and best. Not just because I am a Metallica fan, but it was just so well executed and I think a lot of that credit goes to the late-great Michael Kamen who arranged and conducted the one off concert.
If you do not have the DVD set, which is out of print, try and find one. It's a great concert to watch as well :horns:

Black Lab set the bar high today.
GREAT block to start the day, BL.
Enjoyed it! :hbang1:
After hearing Symphony X a few minutes ago, I wanted to request a song from Myrath, this band plays almost similar music, but they are from Tunisia. But they are not in the list. Also no albums available from my favourite prog metal band, Threshold (UK). Is there anyone here who knows these bands?

I looked these guys up last week as I was spinning this cd and was wondering where they had gone after release #2 (Post Mortem).
They were working on album #3 (an EP) and then the drummer and bass player bailed to other projects. They have a drummer in place but are still in search of a bass player.
Will be interesting to see how this pans out sound wise

Thanks Doc! You would have heard Dio too, but he was "try later". :(
