This fit perfectly into my block of 80s German metal. Thanks!

And with five 10s, it must be one of the highest rated songs on the station...
> Lynch Mob - Street Fightin' Man

Love how George throws in a Dokken-esque solo in there.

I've never heard this album, but every track I've heard on HR80s I've liked. I need to track this CD down.

I thought this bullsh*t was banished to Request Jail.
:smashpc:
It was, but this time it wasn't requested. Unfortunately, because it had been requested so many times it has crept to the top of SAM's list.
JAILBREAK!
Bon Jovi
Till We Ain't Strangers A...
Lost Highway

Any way we can get rid of this country album by Bon Jovi? Does not fit this station.

Oh come on man!

Nothing says "Hard Rockin 80s" more than Lee Ann Rimes...

I agree. I like Bon Jovi, but their Country album doesn't belong. Someone keeps requesting this tune. Really?
Oh, my mistake.

Wait a sec, she wasnt even born in the 80's. Bitch has to go.

Never mind, she was born in 82.

Bitch still has to go.
She used to be decent looking. Now she looks like a Sleestak with a terrible refund gap.

Looks like Sam got hungry and ate my ded. That hasn't happened in a long time. Weird.

Been digging for this album and it's pretty elusive. If anyone knows where I can grab a copy, send me a message...

D:A:D - Trucker (5:13)

From: The Early Years (Disc 1)

Fascinating.

That's once by request earlier today...and SAM serves us up a second dose now - off a different record!!!

Pretty impressive for a track that's in the "HR80s Penalty Box"!!!

On Eddie's shirt, in the top 4 thrash bands list, in the conversation and a commercial for their new album at every break. Even they are an east coast band, I'll take Testament over them any day :)

Speaking of the "next 4" I rate them this way:
Testament
Exodus
Over Kill
Death Angel

I guess that #8 spot is up for much debate as Pantera came later to the scene and Death Angel only had 3 releases back in the day...Who is #8?

Good question.

Thinking outside the US (although Death Angel is technically from Mexico) I would think Sepultura. Some debate this because they have had so many style changes (very early albums are like death metal, later ones are more grind core) but they have always been a trash band at heart and have a massive following, especially in their native country (Brazil) and elsewhere. Their legacy and impact cannot be denied :hbang1:

Death Angel is a Filipino-American thrash metal band from Concord, California. There's nothing Mexician about Death Angel.
Hmmm... didn't we have a whole thread discussing this?

Back in the 80s death metal was in its infancy and was more like extreme thrash anyway. The fact that on subsequent releases Sepultura moved more toward mainstream thrash makes me label them a thrash band.

However, if we stick to US bands then I would agree with Dale's list (though perhaps in a different order).

Now here's another question: Germany had their big 3 (Destruction, Sodom and Kreator). So who could be their #4?

Oh, that (filipino) is of Asian decent. So they are a pure Bay area scene band. I certainly stand multi-corrected on that one! B)
