That's okay, Keir. To each their own. I don't care for Manowar.

One thing for example, is that Glen Buxton brought the song Billion Dollar Baby in as a ballad. Nobody wanted the album's namesake song to be anything less than a hit, but the band played with it for about five hours, then Dennis Dunaway cranked it up, the rest of the guys ran with it, and it became the song we know.

At least I didn????????t rate it a 1 just because I????????m not a fan! :)

No, but the guitarist does wear a suit of banded mail on stage. Not just your typical pieces of chain mail/plate armor (e.g. early Armored Saint) but a full suit of banded mail. You have to be a super nerd to even know what that is, let alone wear it.
Agreed, Keir. I wouldn't rate Manowar a 1, either! And I actually do know what banded mail is....and I work at a rather large computer company, so I guess I fit into the category!

I dig Hammerfall! I don't find them "Spinal Tap" at all. But Ratt, they do have a hammer onstage. Except instead of it being giant, it turned out to be a crab mallet (ala Spinal Tap)!
Iommi - Gone

Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes... does not get much better than that!
It's probably a 50/50 chance that this block will play in its entirety and make sense.

I can see where this block is going.... AND IT ROCKS!

Unless you're in Europe. Then you'll have to wait until August 7th. ;)

I agree, but Monkey Business is my personal fave from this disc. When I initially played this CD and heard that it really made me sit up and take notice. They kicked ass.

I dig Hammerfall, too!!! gotta support sweden :D. kinda wish they'd record more in swedish. they're easy to understand.
manowar are ok, but more like a fitting band when you're having a beer and all that :D.

I always miss Helloween. When I tune in, they're usually in the recently played tunes list. along with alice, and maiden. so I gotta look for alternatives. lol

awww on the muscle, rocko! sucks! I did something to my leg the other day, as well, luckily I don't think it's bad enough to stop me from training. but just take it easy and take some good painkillers ;-)

as for you as a frontman, I'd love to see that! hehe. I'd offer to tie yous over, but the commute btw here and LA might be a little long ;-)

It would only be on a temporary basis, while rehearse, and are looking for a new singer. And Walt, yep, too bad you live so far. Would be fun.

Sonja, my painkiller comes in a twelve ounce bottle, and is served ice-cold.
