I like it! Actually '80 - '90 was the whole decade so it dors make sense. Besides, we weren't "grungified" yet in 90. :D

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. 1990 still had some great 80's tunes before Neverland hit.

An 18 minute song? Holy friggin' moley! I remember the admin saying he wasn't going to allow full versions of long songs after that Manowar tune played, which might have been why yours was cut off.
FYI...Cygnus X-1 is the name of the first black hole ever discovered. Just a tidbit of useless info.

No, that I can live with. For me, I try not to do anything over 8-9. But the Helloween I wouldn't mind at all. And I love Rush and love Cygnus, but almost 19 minutes or like the half-hour Manowar...uh-uh.

My favorite "your metallica" song is from the S&M discs. I love the "Of Wolf and Man" version on this set.
I must qualify my statement a bit. Back when Load and ReLoad came out I had a guy working for me and he loved the Black album and both those discs. I said that pretty much they were not "my metallica" since Justice came out. we got into a discussion how the early stuff was for my people and the stuff since the black album was for everybody. I guess some people feel that way about their NWOBHM too :D

I missed the Manowar incident but I'm guessing the song in question was "Achilles"? I certainly request my share of 7-8 minutes songs but since I usually only get 2 or 3 requests in a day I figure it's alright. Anything over 10 minutes should definitely be saved for non-peak hours (yes, even if its Helloween :wink: ).
I actually liked that Starz song, though it was a bit to 70s pop for the station.
