Looks like the new lineup has found a formula they like. That deep syncopated rhythm with very few guitar leads and lots of killer drum fills. Ray still sounds clear but the range just isn’t there. Much like their last record and I dig it. Hope they come to SA, one of the last live gigs I saw in 2019 and they clobbered the Aztec Theater!

This is actually new to me, but this album dropped 10 years ago. This Swedish band put out 5 albums and members went on to other projects, but there is conversation that they may finish up the 6th album and get it out to the world.

The follow-up to 2016's "The Holographic Principle" was once again produced by Joost Van Den Broek (POWERWOLF, AYREON) in part at Sandlane Recording Facilities in Rijen, Netherlands. EPICA has also released the first single from the album, titled "Abyss Of Time", with an amazing accompanying video that was made in collaboration with Grupa 13.
Have followed this epic/symph band for years and they just get better and better. Not a fit for the station really, but like to share things as I know there is a very diverse pallet of musical taste here. HR80's connection..Simon Simones of Epica has done guest vocals on a few Kamelot tunes (most notably Haunting..somewhere in Time). She is also married to Kam's keyboard/synth master Oliver Palotai.
