F**k that f**kin' Coverdale f**k! Seriously, though I saw the WS/Crue tour as well. Don't remember Coverdale cursing much. Vince Neil, on the other hand...

That???s what my wife and I found ironic... we were expecting that from Motley Crew. That, and the fact that is one one helluva??? show, make it one of the memorable shows we???ve been to.

Oh yeah... it was also the only show we???ve been to where we had to step over all the kids that the cops had laying face down on the sidewalk in plastic tie handcuffs for under age alcohol, drugs and whatever else. :woohoo:
Can Sam play anymore ballads good grief
Ahh.Jettblack...and were back to rocking a bit more

There is a few famous riffs in there as this tune was kind of a history lesson of early heavy rock. The lyrics are worth a read as you can see the bands they mentioned:

A totally different version from the one that my swiss / european edition of the CD. ours is a lot LESS pedal steel guitar and country-touch and a lot more electric guitar and rock. might have to upload that to the station. dig it a lot better.

I know there are plenty of Bon Jovi tracks here at HR80s that rate 6.5 but In And Out Of Love is definitely NOT one of them.

This track cranks!!

Just got back from a meeting with a client. Today, the operative word would have to be APPRECIATIVE.

They got to see the grand opening spot I wrote and directed for their new Porsche / Jaguar showroom and it couldn???t have gone any better. It hits the air tomorrow.

Now tomorrow... the operative word could be something entirely different. :woohoo:

Well, today it's UN-APPRECIATIVE for DD, and they are driving me INSANE, hence my block ;) Rough week so far...and it's only TUESDAY!!! UGGH!!!

But having HR80s playing has helped a ton. Good stuff today! Thanx to the crew!

I appreciate Nikola Tesla. He was the first to build AC generators and the first to distribute to an area while Edison was still hard-headed on DC being the power of the future. He actually electrocuted an elephant in public to show the "dangers" of Tesla's AC power ideas.
Edison's greatest achievement was he was an excellent salesman and had a huge team of scientists.
Tesla was a solo genius, but terrible at self promotion and economics, that's why Edison gets the kudos (like that light bulb that he did not actually invent either) and Tesla is practically forgotten.
But that is typical of "coloring book" history that has been taught in the schools, and still is to this day...

Oh, great pick, love that tune
No, Edison did not invent the first light bulb, but did "invent" the first light bulb that was practical for mass use. Much the same as how Henry Ford did not invent the assembly line, as is often thought. He was just able to do it on a mass scale.

There are many instances in history where the true "inventor" is not given credit because his invention was not very practical, but then someone else is given credit because it is "perfected" or somehow introduced to the masses.

So is life.
Dont know about you guys but im enjoying the Halloween inspired songs so far today. Much different than what we normally listen to and most of this i have never heard.

No doubt! It seems like this is historically one of the best days to be listening as everyone digs pretty deep for monster, etc, tunes we rarely hear. Was great last year, and no different today
I agree!

Unfortunately my requests are being played all out of order so my dedications might not make a lot of sense.

I noticed that with mine as well.
Nice pick on the Annihilator, fbf! Guess mine will play a bit later. Annihilator's always great on Halloween (or anytime, for that matter)!
