From: Tyr

Salutations Day Crew! Getting a little bit of a late start today. My son wanted me to take him to school to start the year... enjoying it now... one day, he????????ll stop thinking that????????s cool. Rock???? Diem Y????????all!
Dedicated by:
Doc .

Doc, sounds like you have a great relationship with your son, so he'll never stop thinking it's cool. My son will be 20 next month, and he still thinks it's cool to hang with me. He and I spent the whole day together yesterday.

We really do. I hope it stays that way... but I????????m sure the teen years will be a challenge. Some of my friends with older kids have had real problems as their kids got older.

It????????s cool that your son still wants to hang out with you. It shows that you did the Dad thing right!
On Friday night my 17 year old son played mini golf with his dear old mom and dad, then played volleyball with us at my bro-in-laws on Sunday. I guess he is bored since his girl friend went off to college.
> Now that I remember how to get to this gem, I am going to grab another. What do you think Lab, another good pick? :>)

Thin Lizzy - Whiskey In The Jar (Full Length Version) (5:48)
(By Request)

From:
Vagabonds of the Western World

This is one of those bands that I am baffled is on the station, like every album, yet we can't seem to get Reo Speedwagon and Loverboy on here.
Don't get me wrong, I completely apprecaite TL's contribution to rock, but they seem to fall pretty strongly into the calssic rock range than the hard rock bucket.

Roll with the Changes (Reo) and Hot Girls in Love (Lb) are two example songs that are harder than most of Lizzy's stuff.
Salutations Day Crew! Putting the finishing touches on tomorrow????????s presentation... the one I have been kept on to prepare. We win, I stay employed. That????????s the way it????????s gonna???????? be. Rock???? Diem Y????????all!

Thanks Slick!

As far as a guest speaker, not sure how knowledgeable you are about marketing and the furniture industry, but would love to have a few cold ones with you afterwards! :drunk:

My take on Thin Lizzy...they fit perfect with HR80s since they are quite often referenced as a big influence of the hard rock/metal band here are HR80s. Metallica, Guns 'N Roses, Whitesnake, & Warrant to name a few.

Although I do like REO and Loverboy (they are what I consider "Arena Rock"), I don't think you will ever hear James Hetfield saying "Man, that 'Roll With The Changes' tune really got me into rock....let's do a cover of it". Those "Arena Rock" bands fall into that category along with George Therogood, Boston, etc., and we all know THAT has been discussed in the HR80s forums.

You'll nail it Doc, I'm sure.
I'm with Skulls. Heck, there is even a Boston cover on here.

Funny!! All I know about furniture is that I love my Natuzzi couch and memory foam mattresses suck because they form pits that i always roll into..and I'm far from overweight..... But the beers sound great!!!!!

Then Hendrix should be on here (as Yngwie wails on Voodoo Child).

I have to say, neither version really did much for me. I'd prefer to hear Destruction's cover of the song.

This song belongs on the list of "tunes" to be removed from the catalog? That was just awful.
Amen. Total shit.
