Got mine yesterday - actually, my son got me an advance copy from Hot Topic. Haven't gotten through all of it yet.

I sent it into the station on Saturday morning...here's hoping it shows up soon on the site...it has a deifinate Gus G influence towards power metal.

Savatage - Fight for the Rock (3:57)
From: Fight for the Rock

Song was not requested

Well, first batch today was the same as every day for the past month or so - SAM gobbled up one of the songs. I should start trying to guess as I pick them which one it will be.

> Ugly...that was my kid's baseball game last night. They won, 26-1. No, it's not t-ball, it's American Legion. Put 20 runs up in the 4th inning. Was one hitter shy of batting around 3 times in the inning. I was actually rooting for the other team to get the third out. My kid was 4 for 5 though. :>)

First off congrats... it sounds like he is doing very well.

It????????s tough to watch a one-sided beating like that... regardless which side of the field you????????re sitting on. Once the kids on the losing side reach a certain point, they just give up.

We use a 10 run slaughter rule after 4 innings. It keeps things from getting out of hand.

Triumph - Allied Forces (3:42)

From: Live At The Us Festival

Funny thing....this is the third tune from Triumph today. I haven't heard them for awhile...that's why my first request earlier today was "Lay It On The Line". SAM must see trends and keep track of what the requests are from the listeners, and then pick more tunes from those artists. This is the second SAM's selected tune from Triumph. I have noticed it with other bands, too. Also, does SAM keep track of what "IP address" picks what tunes, because when there are little to no requests, seems that about 7 of 10 songs are artists that I like. Hmmmmm.....

As irony would have it, that team's coach is one who has consistently voted against the mercy rule.

Luckily it wasn't a marathon. Our pitcher was actually throwing a no-no going into the 7th. So for the whole game the other team would be at bat for about 2 minutes, then us for 10, then them for 2, then us for 10... Was only a 2-1/2 hour game.

I do feel bad for them. I've been on that side before.

Thanks Rocko.

Was given ???????permission?????? today by the owner to make it public that I????????m looking. Already have resume in for one position with a local newspaper and a meeting tomorrow for more leads.

Time to work it full force without the worry of being immediately terminated.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is actually a (long) poem by a writer called Samuel Taylor Coleridge. It's about an expedition down to the souther hemisphere into the antarctic region and back...

> Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond The Sun

There is some great Yngwie in stef310579's upload folder, expecially some excellent covers I had never heard before (Dream On w/Dio, Mr. Crowley, Back In Black, Keep Yourself Alive). Hopefully it gets added soon, as the Yngwie library is pretty thin (hint hint).
