Ok, this is one of those tunes, that is sacred, is a classic, was captured at the moment it really happened as Frampton was at his best, once in a lifetime.

Nothing against Tesla, but it's sacrilege to try and remake something like this, even in a live setting....

Hey Rock...Just checked into this...Your request is still in the que to be added in...so it looks like sam picked it 'randomly' and your request will still play, although now, not for a while :( ...I'm not sure how random it is, but look into sam's logic a little bit - but it may be coincidence. I'll keep an eye out on future instances like this, too to see if there is something else going on...I've also made a change to the database settings so that may help eliminate that from causing an issue with updates. Side ntoe: You will probably have to login after I restarted the service...

Chris, yea, got the pop-up, punched in my user name and a ded, and nothing showed up (at least my tune played!). Hasn't happened too much with me, but I know some users are losing alot of deds.

Skulls - Made a config change and restarted the web service, so that may have been why the screen went blank on you...Was likely around that same time...

I'm not complaining really...just odd that SAM picks the same (sometimes very obscure) picks on the beginning of my sets quite a bit.

happened to me several times as well in the past. i'd pick a tune and dedicate it, and the ded would just not appear but would play nonetheless. or sometimes wouldn't play altogether cause SAM happened to pick a tune by that band and prefer that one. guess it's got a mind of its own. AI...

I'm not complaining really...just odd that SAM picks the same (sometimes very obscure) picks on the beginning of my sets quite a bit.

Heck...I'd probably be complaining if it were me :) Digging into the logic and seeing if maybe there's something I can configure differently...

Update: Some of the logic was set to least recently played, so if the songs you picked were unplayed or not played for some time (rusty, if you will), then Sam might have grabbed them. I've changed the logic to just pull a 'random' track for all sam picks, so...we'll see if that helps...

But a success none-the-less. He learned a lot, and he friggin' surprised me - really stepped up to the challange. I made a little video if anyone is interested. Check out the 40 yarder that I slo-mo'd around the 2:10 mark. That was good from 60!!! (they wouldn't let them try anything beyond 40-45 - didn't want to turn it into a pissing match)

First, I know I am late the this topic, but SAM ate about 4 of my requests last week -- and TWO on one of my 5-Block sets!!! I find it VERY ironic that SAM "randomly" picks a tune that I just requested moments earlier. Hope this can be fixed.

But it's all good anyways....the song I wanted to hear gets played eventhough it doesn't have my witty dedication with it, LOL!!!
