While the music library is being re-loaded, I sure have been hearing some cool tunes that I haven't heard in a really long time. Limited choices forces this, but it can be a good thing.

Watch were you say such things.... had a co-worker say that on their Facebook page on a Tuesday. The company owner was on their friends list and when he read it, disciplined her front of the entire company. We also have been told that lamenting over workload, long hours or asking for raise would be grounds for dismissal.

Holy Crap!! Guess I better unfriend my boss man then!!!
He is gone the rest of the week. He and his eldest son showed up this morning with their Beta fish for me to babysit (and feed) till they get back Monday -- with no prior request!! The thing is staying here in the office!!!!

Yep... bad idea.
My boss made having a FB page mandatory for everyone here so our clients could get an idea who each person was.
I refused his friend request... he doesn????????t use his real photo nor the correct area he lives in. Makin???????? stuff up takes too much effort.

lol. never heard of mandatory facebook either. today i tried accessing it from work and it came up in big red letters that THIS PAGE HAS BEEN BLOCKED BY YOUR ADMINISTRATOR.
oopsy. lol
but the last company i worked at, they had an official facebook for the company and the employees had theirs, too. but I don't think it was mandatory as such.
but you're right, makin' stuff up takes too much effort! and I sure as hell wouldn't want any clients seeing my personal facebook. then I'd kinda make a new 'work facebook page' ;-)

I change my photo all the time, half the time it is not even me, and I am smart enough to have plenty of other sites where I can vent about how the work day drags on and I have too much time on my hands to play every day - Oh!! did I just say that out loud!!!! :twisted:

Why the hell would anyone want to work there. I'd walk in to his office, tell him to cut my workload or give me a raise. Presumably he would fire me, so I would collect unemployment while I pursued a lawsuit against his ass. 8)

Been here 19 years.
Has not always been like that. It????????s been somewhat of a de-evolutionary process.
My favorite was a few years back when, faced with a huge health insurance increase (we don????????t get it at work), I asked for a raise. Was told times were too tight.
Was hard to take when he had all 3 of his Jags in the parking lot.
I hope if I????????m fortunate enough to own my own company one day (at 46 that seems unlikely) that these lessons are never forgotten.
At least they never cut off my internet radio as threatened a few years ago.

When I started this job, in orientation, I was told - and it is written in the handbook . . . no chatting online. It sucked that I could not talk to my best friend for the first few months here. Then I started doing it, and now it seems some days all I do is chat cuase the day is soooo boring.
I was given speakers with my new computer last month, cuase everyone sees me with my Zune or the site plugged into my ear, but since I share an office with a part time preacher - I do not use them. Walt, how long till I got these earbids!! That took a long time to do here too!! But now I have my tunes!!!
