Most people hate the Yankees becasue they have a storied history with 26 WS championships.

Most people hate the Cowboys because they are and always have been despicable scumbags and no other reason. You don't see people hating the 49ers, Steelers, Redskins, Dolphins or Giants the way they do the Cowboys, do ya? Sorry dude...

But I do not go around calling them names. Each one is where they are now, or have been in the past, because of great decisions and talent. Each one deserves respect, no matter how hard it is to give.

I do not go up to Gordon and spit in his face or call him names. I am polite, thank him for his time, autograph and or picture and go on my way. He is an impressive driver, even tho I cannot wait for the day when he is no longer on the track.

Geez, I log in and there is controversy here..what gives?

I have taken loads of flack over the years for being a Georgetown fan (how many times have they been called hodlums by MD fans?..lots..even though Gtown has a higher accredited graduation percentage and have an almost nil "police record..unlike the for mentioned).

Anyway, as much as we have a passion for sports, holy shit guys, it's just a f'in game....you know, guys throwing a ball around making too much money (or the prospect to if your are college level).

IMO, not worth starting off a new year all pissed off at each other. Everyone likes or dislikes their teams for whatever reason, don't make it personal like a bunch of 8 year olds on a playground...nuff said..
