Why do bands take slow songs and slow them down further - crappy imo.

Why do bands take slow songs and slow them down further - crappy imo.
What makes it even worse is that tune, Don't Tell me you love Me, is a fast, put your seat belt on, real hard edge tune. So taking a fast tune and slowing it down...mmm, why?..I guess to make a buck...
