Black 'N Blue - 12 O'Clock High (3:40)
(By Request)

From: Nasty Nasty

I think of the movie "Three O'Clock High" when I hear this song. Jerry Mitchell vs. Buddy Revelle.

well sorry buddy, but just like the metgen thing, that is nothing but your opinion.... and just like me liking the song (and the albums), that's just my opinion. and as such, they're both personal so who gives a F*k.

in general, just because you don't like something doesn't make it bad. or just because you like something doesn't make it good. it's just the way it is.

i'm sick of all the jovi bashing. there are people who've been with the band for 20+ years, like I have, and the boys have written some good tunes over the years. and again, it's just tastes, and it's just personal.

I hate Lost Highway but I can accept that there are people who love it. and that's the end of it.

the end of it = I am not going to engage in any further discussions nor am I gonna get into a fight, so to anyone here: don't even try!
Scorpions - You Give Me All I Need (3:38)
(By Request)

From: Blackout

Hey Rockhead - nice pick,sir.

One of the underrated/under-appreciated tracks from Blackout, but one of my favourites. They didn't play it in London last Saturday night, but played 21 others (23 if you count Uli Jon Roth's versions of We'll Burn The Sky and Sails of Charon !)

So I guess that you can't have everything - no harm in going for it,though !

Take care.
Lots of beers and cheers

DPatt
D_Pat,
Glad you enjoyed it. I envy you for being able to see that Scorpions show,.I have seen them, but have never had the pleasure of seeing Michael and Uli share the stage with them.
Megadeth
A Tout Le Monde
Youthanasia

Glad to see the original being played!

my god... the song would be nice, I like the energy, and the guitar ain't bad, but my ears hurt cause - especially towards the end of the song, it was sung 1/4 to a 1/2 tone higher than it should have been... guess it's hard to hit the right note sometimes...

thanks andie, even though it was a RR ;). I was pretty gutted to see the tune has like a half a star rating. all the jovi haters on here are really totally prejudiced. I mean, i'm the first to say their venture into country this year was totally crazy and unnecessary but if there's one thing jovi CAN do, it's rock out live. they built their good reputation in the 80s based on their live performances - and this was a good performance. I'd like if people could set aside the "ugh, it's bon jovi" thing and actually look at them objectively. they DO rock. at least live.

really, people, there ARE much worse bands than bon jovi. give them a break. :)
I upped it for ya SS :D

I am not a jovi hater and married to one the biggest fans.

not everyone HATES bon jovi, ss. :)

I'll be the first to say that I personally don't like much of their 90's and later stuff (especially when the country comes in). However, I like most of the 80's stuff, expecially Slippery When Wet. But that's only my opinion

and yes, I've seen them live too (the last time was on the New Jersey tour) and they were always good live.
thanks for your support guys, it means a lot to me :)

and Z2H, although I've bought all of their records to date out of pure loyalty, I agree with you, Slippery and Jersey are the best.

I just think it's so sad that some bands will never get the recognition they deserve. I mean just look at who's in the RNR hall of fame and who isn't. hell, not even alice cooper is in... sad, isn't it.
Saw Bon Jovi on the Have A Nice Day tour. and they totally rocked. Even with the country leanings as of late. I'm still a fan.
This Tony McAlpine tune is mislabeled, or my CD is.

me too, though I won't be listening to the Lost Highway record much :). but it's a loyalty thing here...
thankfully, the country leanings will only be temporary, i.e. a one-off thing.
