I have this song on another lp by the same name which also includes the songs -
Out Of The Night
Last Time, No Way
Dead end

What a great lp this is!!!
I actually have that song on a cassette EP with a guy on the front and girl on her knees in front of him...different cover than the one shown here. I used to play that Ep all the time
Donnie Iris - Ah! Leah! (3:46)

I saw these guys live in Chicago in about '82. They were actually really good live. The drummer in this band was Kevin Valentine, who played drums on the first Cinderella album, but was not credited.

While I like Donnie Iris, I'm not sure he belongs here.
Hey Daryl

Tygers of Pan Tang
Gangland

Great pick,boy !

Imagine sitting around in 1981 and hearing this blast from your speakers - it's enough to want to make you start a band on the spot !

Although many people like the rawer sound of 'Wildcat', Jess Cox couldn't sing to save his life and Rob Weir was a limited lead guitarist. Adding the classy Jon Deverill and the awesome John Sykes blew everyone away. When JD & JS did the earlier material like 'Slave to Freedom', it was in a different class.

If MCA hadn't ****ed them about, who knows ?

Jon Deverill is now an actor/singer in top London stage musicals under the name of Jon De Ville !

What a great lp this is!!!

You know, I was looking at the back of this lp (which the cover is a pic of the back of a man's jean vest with a shark on it) and was caught by the work Dokken on it. This lp was produced by Dokken and Wagener in November 1982. It also says . . .

" . . .and although we might say it outselves, PMRC's not withstanding, this platter has proved to be a nugget. The original print of this record was limited to a run of fifteen thousand, after which the film was destroyed, the stamping master melted: it has been unavailable since 1983. But, by popular demand, as they say, and in a new cover, now re-issued! Dedicated to Bob and Gail, to rockers, and, yes, to Tipper - if you can't rock me, I know your daughter will . . ." -- Leo Stravinsky

Now that is metal!!!!!

Y and T - Contagious (3:22)

With the discussion of Black "N" Blue on the "Excerpts" thread in mind, here is another band - that in my opinion - got better with each album, yet never got the recognition they deserved.

I find there are two different groups of fans when it comes to Y&T. I'm one of those old school Y&T fans that think their best album was "Mean Streak". I was still a fan of them, but I thought when they wrote "Summertime Girls" that they sort of changed their direction some. I do think they continued to write very solid albums, but they made the cheesiest videos. I think Dave is one of the most underrated guitarists/vocalists of this genre. They were a Geffen band that were put on the low priority list obviously.
Smashed Gladys - Dive in the Dark (3:36)

I have this on vinyl, but am not familiar with this song. Must be on the side I don't play much. Gonna' have to make up for that - I like this alot.
DD - nice one on the Cold Sweat back 2 back.

Never heard the Lizzy before, but the cover was good.

Thanks...some people might not count it as a cover since John Sykes was a member of Thin Lizzy and I'm sure has played that tune a ton of times. But I consider it an awesome COVER tune, so there you go.

As for the Warrant tune "Cold Sweat", for some reason I thought it was a cover from the "Under The Influence" CD of theirs, but I was wrong...OOPS!!! Oh well, what are you gonna do?!?

OK...keep rockin' -- that's what we'll do \w/ \w/

DD
Great Sabbath cover... Thanks Andie!
> Impellitteri - Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Does anybody have this that they can re-upload it - it always craps out at the same spot, just before it really kicks in. :(
