The Dark Element featuring Anette Olzon (ex-Nightwish) & Jani Liimatainen (ex-Sonata Arctica). Released Nov 2017 on Frontier Records.

Not quite a fit for the site but know a few of the crew dig Nightwish and epic metal in general, so thought this was cool to share.
AWESOME to see Anette back at the mic. My fave era of NW was when she fronted the band. She sounds as good as ever and this album as a whole is quite amazing. A mix of their previous bands influences, but with a splash of straight forward pop-power metal so the tunes do not get overly complicated and the listener gets lost.
If you like Nightwish or Anette, I highly recommend you go pick this up, it will not disappoint!

Nice! I like this release with 3/4 of the original lineup back on-board. Some say this album is back to the "cheese" era, but that was the only albums I liked from these Far East guys, so works for me! :horns:

This rules!

Pretty sure I added the Metallica Hardwired bonus disc 3 to my folder. Contains Lords of Summer final mix, some covers and a full concert from Record Store Day 2016 in Berkley :hbang1:

Hopefully I can get back into the FTP, I have the main page login but do not have something else toggled correctly to connect and can't find any instructions on site as to what to do there

I’ll check that out. It may be next week before I have more time to add some more tunes... but in the last 10 days, we’ve put up almost as many new tunes as were added in 2017 and 2016 combined. We’re gonna’ keep the library growing.

Metalero asked to the new Iced Earth... it hasn’t been added yet. Neither had a few others he asked to get added.

Please let me know when y’all add new stuff... that will go to the top of the list.

Rocké DIme Y’all!

Salems Lott - Shattered To Pieces [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

> Shock-Metal group SALEMS LOTT are about to release their new debut album, Mask of Morality on April 6th, 2018. The album illustrates themes of individualism while challenging modern social values, morality and equality.

I have mentioned this crew in the past and their EP is sitting on the FTP. One of the few classic style bands that not only have the look, but actually have the sound. Influences according to the band are Motley Crue, Kiss, Alice Cooper with splashes of X-Japan and other neo-style bands.
Heard that this song is based on a real life story of a friend of the guitarist who is suffering from a physically disabling mental health issue.
The guitar work alone from the guitarist and singer is freaking amazing. They actually have a side YT channel where they remake video game themes and "metal" them up.
This band does almost all of their promotion themselves with very little (small) label support, so if you dig them, go buy the albums. The pre-order for the new album is on sale on Amazon for 7.99 and includes a 50% coupon for t-shirts etc. I have the digital pre-order in place (ordered that before I knew there would be a physical copy offered)and will drop to me on the 6th :hbang1:
