Not sure how I missed this stream..damn, but cool on the dvd! I hope Epica and Nightwish do the same with their past streams. I missed the NW but the Epica concert was freakin awesome :hbang1:
This looks to not disappoint

On GAMMA RAY's upcoming live album "30 Years Live Anniversary", the band would like to invite everyone to the party that was their exclusive and only show in 2020. Due to COVID-19, the band was not able to play shows so they decided to do a livestream event and set up a big stage in the ISS Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. This event took place on August 27 and was streamed to fans all over the globe.

Check out "Land Of The Free" from that livestream event below.

I love the old school teaser, getting the excitement built up thing they are doing! Reminds me of getting old metal mags and seeing adds for upcoming releases, or seeing a vid drop on Headbangers Ball from a new, soon to be released album. IM have always been good at this and it's awesome they still do this.
Can't wait to see how this pans out in the upcoming weeks  :woohoo:

This is a project from remaining members of Stormwitch. After a few of the band passed, the guys reworked some tunes and reformed with new members and are releasing new tunes! Here is one from the album that dropped in April 2021.

When Harald Spengler alias Lee Tarot, founder and mastermind of the southern German cult metal band Stormwitch, died much too early in 2013, his longtime musical companions, including Stefan Kauffmann and Peter Langer, decided to finish and publish the songs they had written together before his death. The debut album “Tarot’s Legacy”, released on Walpurgis Night 2015, drew the attention of hard and heavy fans at home and abroad
In 2017, Witchbound opened a new chapter with power shoutgirl Natalie Pereira Dos Santos and bassist Frank Bittermann.
After the tragic loss of lead guitarist Martin Winkler, Witchbound had to reform again in 2019. Despite all blows of fate, the witch ship takes full drive again with second lead singer Tobi Schwenk and string wizard Julian Steiner on board. The second album should be released in spring 2021 and presented live. Witchbound combines the proven musical roots of Stormwitch with fresh ideas and thus creates a varied sound that impresses with its high level of songwriting.

New Iron Maiden song The Writing on the Wall. Cool tune, I'll have to give deep listen. Pretty cool video, I like Samurai Eddie, still miss Derek Riggs. Now just need album announcement and for them to head back to the States!!

Nice drop by the Maiden Crew! Tune sound is very reminiscent of Book of Souls flow, has that medium pace, heavy lead/riff thing going on. Will be interesting to see what the rest sounds like.

My fave from the "Bruce Returns" era is Final Frontier, that one I still grab, throw in the player and crank beginning to end. Souls was cool, but kind of take it in doses, not a listen through type of album.

Iron Maiden announce Senjutsu, their 17th studio album for release on September 3rd. I can't wait!

I like the Writing on the Wall, its a good standard issue mid paced Maiden tune.

I think Maiden has been very consistent with their ability to write longer epic songs. What I would really love on the new album is a fast song with that classic gallop. Last up tempo song I really loved was The Wicker Man, but even that is not quite the classic Maiden gallop. To me the last amazing up tempo song was Moonchild. Here's hope we get one this time around.

I love the Samurai inspired artwork and the marble vinyl looks so cool.

Wonder what content will be on the Blu-ray of the deluxe release, anything beyond The Writing on the Wall video and maybe behind the scenes making of video?

Senjutsu from Iron Maiden

Awesome! Again, the expectations are super high, been 6 years. Some more Wicker Man or Speed of Light style would be welcomed indeed. We'll see soon! :hbang1:

Former NIGHTWISH and current THE DARK ELEMENT vocalist Anette Olzon will release her new solo album, "Strong", on September 10 via Frontiers Music Srl. The official lyric video for the disc's second single, "Sick Of You", is available below.
Says Olzon: "'Sick Of You' is a song for the ones who has been used, abused, lied to, and mistreated over and over again and now enough is enough and you're taking back control of your life."
Anette's second solo album, following 2014's "Shine", is a harder and faster musical offering than the debut. More importantly, "Strong" stakes a claim for Anette's well-deserved standing as one of the world's top female metal vocalists.
The music for "Strong" was written and composed together with acclaimed Swedish guitarist and producer Magnus Karlsson.

If you dig, big, bold, symphonic and/or epic power metal, you gotta check this guy out.
Antti Martikainen is an independent artist and he is writing and performing (with guest musicians) some of the most amazing compositions you have ever heard in the genre. He has quite a few albums that vary from symphonic to dark, some industrial, traditional folk/Celtic...wow.
Just bought this album off BandCamp for $7. Freaking amazing. Check out the catalog.

Great tip, and right in the wheelhouse of what I have been enjoying lately. I've put down the new Helloween for a couple of weeks and have been listening to Korpiklaani's Jylha. This will mix right in!

Holy shit, Nice!! Always good to support our artist :horns:

I went back and bought Hymn of the High Seas, Vol. 2; love me some epic pirate music. Also a sucker for some traditional celtic/instrumental type tunes, so have my eye on some of those albums too

OTTTO, the three-piece band featuring Tye Trujillo (son of METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo), has just released a new song called "Ride Low".
OTTTO is fronted by Bryan Noah Ferretti on vocals and guitar, with Tye on bass and Ryan Duswalt on drums. The band's first LP comes out late 2021, which is a follow-up to their EP released last year.
