When I see "Vai" I get pretty excited. Nice lead as usual from the master, but the song is very "strummy, yell" which is not my thing. I was never into Slipknot, but Corey is typically a pretty cool dude, he was carrying the metal flag high while post grunge and pop-punk where all the rage, so kudos there.
I honestly have no clue who Billy Morrison is, need to look him up, and this seems to be a collaboration effort on his part.

Billy is Billy Idol's rhythm guitarist and the Cults bassist. And you're correct that he did a few collaborations with a few guest artists. I can't stand Slipknot and some of Corey's solo is alright but he has a good voice.

I have been hearing this on 97Underground.com and dig it. This is really the first SB solo release where I have liked everything I have heard so far. I wonder if he brought in some writing assistance because it is quite diff than past, often boring, tunes he has put out over the years.
Got this one on the "check it all out and maybe throw on the to-get list".
