New Music to Check Out (2)!

Bif and crew sure are not lacking on material, even in the last decade. Some is better than others, but wow, this newest has some killer tunes. Heard this on 97Underground this morning in the way into work, and damn, awesome!

This new Stryper is gearing up to be one of the best releases of the year. All four that have dropped off this one have been killer.

STRYPER have released the official music video for their latest single, "Same Old Story". The song will appear on their upcoming studio album "The Final Battle", which is due on October 21 via Frontiers Music Srl. The follow-up to 2020's "Even The Devil Believes" was produced by guitarist/vocalist Michael Sweet and was once again recorded at SpiritHouse Recording Studios in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Ellefson has dabbled in a few diff projects since his demise with Mega-Dave, and most has been sub par (imo). But this, this kicks some ass. Soto is awesome and a good writer so think it is a good match up. Check it out!

Faith No More - Cone of Shame

Power ballads; it's a style that some love and some hate. I'm middle of the road, I don't mind if it is a well constructed song (think Alone Again, Every Rose, Fly to the Angels, etc) and not just a cheese dish to fill an album slot (too many to list here).
I heard this this morning on 97Underground and wow, this is a good one. These guys have some time out there now so not so much a new band, but certainly not an 80's band but for sure in that style.

Check it out; melodic, harmony vox, killer solo.

Not sure I have ever posted a tune here that I did not like or was heavily critical of, but could not pass this up. Been hearing this on 97Underground, and every-time it plays, I think it is a joke, but it's not.
Now, let's be clear, I am not a pro musician and certainly not a talented singer, but wow, the dude that heads this band...well, just listen; he is terrible
Know nothing about this band, if they are on a label, self produced and release, etc, so cannot chime there, but imagine the band fires up and then this guy comes in on vox.

Florida death metal veterans OBITUARY will release a new studio album, "Dying Of Everything", on January 13 via Relapse Records.

This new Epica collaboration cd has been awesome so far. The cd is sitting in my mailbox as I write this so will be there when I get home!

Heard this track on Rachel's Rock Refuge on 97Underground.com. Do not know this band (need to look up their story) but another gem drops from Frontiers Records, wow. The riffs and scaling is insane without taking away from the song as a whole, just solid.
