Nice, reminds me of the Jar of Flies album Alice in Chains (the only AIC cd I own). I Stay Away is still one of my all time fave tunes. Need to check out more of this release.

Thinking this will be the last album for WS, David has already started the convo of the farewell process. Know we have heard this story before, but WS been around forever and Dave has plenty of other projects to keep him busy.

Like that we are (finally) seeing a re-emergence of classic style hard/rock metal and it appears it is pretty popular considering the amount of bands that are showing up.
Heard this one 97Underground.com and it's freakin cool. Need to explore!

The first single, “Road Warrior,” is a hard-driving, full-out onslaught of classic hard rock. The song takes you back to the glory days with the big hook and arena vibe, but hints at the modern production, a transcendence in its purest sense. This is the first taste of what this band brings to the table for this release and beyond.

Turbosnake’s bombastic Arena Rock adventure began as a project in April of 2020 when founder Eric Roelofsen was bored with the norm and decided to begin writing some songs. The songs were born from Eric’s deep-seeded love of classic Hair Metal, Big hooks, heavy guitar and melody driven runs injected with some glitz and glam. He approached his friend Ryan Thomas to see if he wanted to write some lyrics to it and sing something on it. Ryan was influenced heavily by the classic screamers of the day, Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose, to name a few and he states his deep passion for the genre “Couldn’t get enough of the genre and just never got out of it.” The wheels for a venomous, injection of pure, melodic, hard rock perfection were put into motion and Turbosnake began their plan to be the torch that lights Arena Rocks assault on the 21st century.

Besides wanting to sing Jump in the Fire, this has given me an earworm for an early 80s punk/hardcore song about The Road Warrior. No recollection of band or title, I just remember a snippet of lyric/chorus.

Well, I'm kind of up in the air on this one. Certainly has a "new" edge to it, but a bit odd too. No surprise really, GnR have always pushed the envelope on sound. You be the judge.

There has not been a lack of new material since Tracii and Phil hooked back up, this will be the third album and they also dropped a live.I need to explore these albums, I like the albums with Riley and was bummed when that crew fell apart, but Tracii is really cool dude and the more I hear of the "new" stuff, the more I think i should check it out.

I seem to be like I was on the new Helloween..I'm not super impressed so far on what I have heard off of this upcoming. Keeping an open mind, but if it is a rerun of the last album, not sure I am in. AS note, all IMO.

"Stratego", a brand new song from IRON MAIDEN, can be streamed below. The track, which was written by guitarist Janick Gers and founder member/bassist Steve Harris, is taken from the band's 17th studio album, "Senjutsu", will be released on September 3 via BMG.

I agree, I thought this was dull. I hope it is not going to be a boring album! I have my preorders in for the vinyl and digital download, and still excited and optimistic for 9/3!

On the other hand, I really have enjoyed the new Helloween album. I think it is a pretty strong album end to end. If I listen to some of the lesser songs individually, maybe they are not excellent stand alone, but the continuity and vibe through the album has been very enjoyable.

Another from Anette. Killer track and you can hear the Nightwish and co-writers' influences (Magnus Karlsson), but that is fine; melodic symphonic? I'm in!
