Restarting this thread since the other one "broke" :smashpc:

This band not on here but some DT guys have had this project for years. Pretty amazing!

LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT, the instrumental progressive rock/metal project featuring DREAM THEATER keyboardist Jordan Rudess and guitarist John Petrucci, alongside ex-DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy and progressive rock icon Tony Levin (bass) of KING CRIMSON and PETER GABRIEL fame, will release its third album, "LTE3", on March 26 via InsideOut Music. The effort will arrive 22 years after the release of 1999's "Liquid Tension Experiment 2".

Legendary rocker Alice Cooper celebrates his birthday today by releasing a new single, "Social Debris", from his upcoming studio album, "Detroit Stories".
The track is released digitally and it is accompanied by an official music video, which cane be seen below.
To celebrate the special occasion in style, Cooper has decided to offer "Social Debris" as free download for 24 hours on the artist's web site.
"The single 'Social Debris' is a gift to Detroit, to my fans and to myself," says Alice, "The track was written by the original Alice Cooper band. We never thought that we would ever fit in; the Alice Cooper band didn't fit in with anybody, because we were doing things that no other band did. We didn't fit in with the folk scene, we didn't fit in with the metal scene, we really didn't fit in with anything that was going on at that time. We just always felt like we were outsiders. We felt like we were social debris, we were in our own little world. So 'Social Debris' was just the original band writing a song about us, essentially. And it came out sounding like it belonged into 1971. That's just the original band — you can't change that. It's great."
"Detroit Stories" will be released on February 26 via earMUSIC.

Hearing some STP and maybe Foo Fighters in the sound, but pretty decent. Wolfgang said he DID NOT want to do a VH clone band, and he delivered. Still better than most the shit on crap corp radio.

Wolfgang Van Halen has released "You're To Blame", the second single from his solo band, MAMMOTH WVH. The track, which can be streamed below, is taken from MAMMOTH WVH's self-titled debut album, due on June 11 via Explorer1 Music Group/EX1 Records.

Another from:

SMITH/KOTZEN, the electrifying collaboration between guitarists and vocalists Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen, will release its self-titled debut album on March 26 via BMG.

The official music video for the disc's second single, "Scars", can be seen below.

A bit bluesy for me, but still better than anything coming across crap corp rock radio right now.

One for the symphonic epic fans here. A year in the making, remotely, in person with quarantine... the battle to do this album was challenging, but seems it inspired as well. Everything that has been released from this so far is fucking amazing. This cd drops in the mail box to me today or tomorrow. Can't wait!

Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA have released the official music video for the song "Skeleton Key". The track is taken from the band's new album, "Omega", which is being released today (Friday, February 26) via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2016's "The Holographic Principle" was once again produced by Joost Van Den Broek (POWERWOLF, AYREON) in part at Sandlane Recording Facilities in Rijen, Netherlands.

New Ghost single. one album on here but not considered a real fit here so nothing else has shown up over the years. As far as "newer" bands this is one of my faves.
Cool vid of their last concert a year ago (to the day yesterday) so awesome, but kind of a bummer too.

Swedish metallers GHOST have released a new music video for the song "Life Eternal". The black-and-white clip, which can be seen below, features footage filmed at the final show of the band's "Prequelle" tour, which concluded exactly a year ago — on March 3, 2020 — at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico.

Loved the last album, so have this one on pre-order!

Former QUEENSRŸCHE singer Geoff Tate will release the second album from his SWEET OBLIVION project, "Relentless", on April 9 via Frontiers Music Srl. The official music video for the disc's second single, "Another Change", can be seen below.
While the production and main songwriting on the previous record were handled by Simone Mularoni of DGM, this time the production was instead handled by his fellow Italian metal maestro Aldo Lonobile (SECRET SPHERE, TIMO TOLKKI'S AVALON, ARCHON ANGEL).
