Wanted to create a topic under the HR80s Playlist Forum where the site admin can view and hopefully respond to listener input regarding SAM's propensity to repeat artists and tracks.

Crew... the repeat issue isn’t being ignored. De-weighting the songs isn’t helping and SAM is violating no-repeat parameters in the settings. The last exchange I had with Chris, he was trying to resolve those issues.

Of course, if SAM has become sentient, this may be his first step in global domination. When you hear him start slipping Barry Manilow tunes into the HR80s mix, I suggest you move to the bunkers in an orderly manner.

All - is this better now that we have rebooted sam and fixed the site issues with the menu (I also did some database maintenance)?

If issue still exists, please let me know. I haven't restarted the whole server (30 minutes of potential downtime) in some time, but will do so to see if it helps the issue

Just the repeating issue (like the last song) and the buffering problem.

I still see some song repeating like Mike Tramp - Here I Don't Belong .

SAM latches onto songs and often it’s someone previous Request. The song you might request may be the next song that gets on everyone’s nerves.

Random songs should not repeat for at least 72 hours and Request should not repeat. I’ve heard my same Request within hours. I like the idea of shaping the influence of future music but instead, random play that artist/or another song off the same album.

I remember the old site used to have song statistics on how often a song had been played. That would be interesting to see these days.

Music still seems to cut out occasionally, usually a short pause, if that’s what other experience.
