Cacumen - No More (4:10)

From: Down To Hell

Thought that sounded familiar, same song was on Don't Touch the Light when this band changed it's name to Bonfire. Not sure it was even re-recorded, sounded exactly the same.

Cool tune indeed

They need Rock in Rio on here with the Bruce version of the Clansman. Still trying to figure out Senjutsu, the songs make reference to many riffs in the discography. The song Death Of The Celts definitely makes reference to The Clansman. On a side note a bit disappointed with the quality of the silver marble vinyl release. Only disk 2 is the nice silver marble, the others are either gray or black with virtually no marble pattern. Also bothe the high res and vinyl really have a muddy production, I expect better sound from Maiden.

Rock in Rio would be awesome, I have the DVD and it is a killer show!

Bummer on the vinyl quality, yea, big band like that, everything should be top quality.
Have been listening to the tunes on the Maiden YouTube channel and admit I am liking it more and more, The released tracks, as usual, are not even close to the best tracks on the album. Lost in a Lost World, Darkest Hour and Time machine are pretty freakin cool, and I am still not at the end of all the tunes yet.
I liked enough to jump on eBay and got a once listened too, opened copy for 10.99 and free ship, and it was the Senjutsu CD TARGET Exclusive Lenticular version to boot!

Now, if I can sell off the latest Helloween cd to pay for this one :P

That's a great deal. I will say the artwork on the trifold vinyl is fantastic!

I agree on Lost in a Lost World and Time Machine are really cool songs, my favorite tracks so far along with Hell on Earth (I love the references in it to When the Wild Wind Blows, my second favorite tune from The Final Frontier, and The Book of Souls).

I think this is a serious album, and I have not had the chance to sit and listen uninterrupted at a higher volume. I think when Bruce and Adrian have referenced surprises on the album it must be with all the links back to prior songs. I'm sure someone on reddit or YouTube has already deconstructed this, but I want to discover on my own.

One critique I have is the keyboards. We see Dream Theater, Epica use keyboards effectively. With three guitars, adding keyboards should bring some atmosphere and dynamics, but they are just so flat and ordinary, particularly on Stratego. On a traditional Iron Maiden gallop tune with three guitarists, keyboards are unneeded, but if Steve insists on them, they should bring something interesting to the table.

Another small critique, the rhythm Nicko plays on Senjutsu is very cool, but it sounds like his toms are Home Depot buckets.

I'm not sure where this will rate for me given time, but to me the sound is muddy flat and lifeless, as bad as No Prayer for the Dying, which sounded lousy after Seventh Son. The sound quality is a damn shame, because I think the songs are pretty strong if you like the Maiden epic phase.
