Not to be confused with the Scottish Turbo, or any other similarly named bands from around the world, this quintessentially NWOBHM act consisted of singer Des Horsfall, guitarists Ian Blackburn and Pete Mayhew, bassist Rick Payne, and drummer Chris Day. They first released a 3 track EP on Cargo Records in 1980. The second track on the 7", "Running", was also included on the New Electric Warriors compilation that year. The band then went through several lineup changes (for example, Horsfall left to join Raw Deal). By the time their Charged For Glory single was released in 1982 only Mayhew was left from the original lineup. The others were replaced by singer Steve McCann, guitarist Paul Hartley, bassist Chris Bartlett, and drummer Pete Edmonds. Afterward they slowly fell apart before breaking up altogether in 1984.
