Nuhaven started on the L.A. scene as Haven, but changed their name because Haven was already taken. Arthur "Skip" Frank (bass), Doug Simpson (drums), Gordon Suggs (guitars) and Joe Zipay (vocals) comprised this amateur yet charming Motley Crue clone. Wendy Dio managed the band for a time. Though they never released an album, they did appear on two compilation LPs: KLOS 95 1/2: Rock To Riches in 1983 with the track "Adultress", and Metal Over America the following year with the tracks "Crazy Sally" and "Take Cover".
