Not the same Avatar that would later become Savatage, this was a four-piece from L.A. Bass player Diane Kornarens also played keyboards for Warlord (as Sentinel) and later co-founded Sahara (as Diane Arens). Other members included Anthony Kornarens and Darien Mann on guitars, and Marc Moreno on drums. Their sole release was the instrumental "Octave" on the first Metal Massacre compilation. This track was missing from the Metalworks repressing of the LP, however all subsequent reissues include the track.
