All,
I'm not sure if you've read Grinder's post, but after 7 years, he is signing off the Old School Metal Show...It's a sad, sad day, The OSMS has been on this station since 2003, and he always managed to find new old metal to share. Hopefully, he's played music that has broadened your horizons. I know he has mine. This is a sad day. We'll run his final show today and next week as well. I encourage you to drop him a PM, or email through the site. You might even catch him in chat sometime...
He will be missed...
Not to get mushy, but on a personal note, G has been with me and HR80s since 2001 or 2002....Hosting Late Nite Metal and OSMS. It's crazy to think we've been doing this thing for over 10 years, and Grinder has been a part of it for most of that time. Through the ups...the downs...all of it...
If we had a retirement fund, he'd get a hella gift I've tried to talk him into either picking back up Late Nite Metal or OSMS, and he has left the door open to a potential show later...Finding a work-life balance can be difficult, especially when the time consuming aspect of putting together a show (that he's not paid for it's done for the love of music)...Maybe if some folks here flood his inbox with mail, he'd reconsider
I want to personally thank him for all his work that he shared with us. We're a better station for having him and his show on and he will be dearly missed.
Best of luck, G. You will always have a home here. _________________ "The Facts - While Interesting, Are Irrelevant." - unknown
