After the NWOBHM band A-II-Z split up in 1982, 3/4 of the band formed Aurora (the lineup being completed by current JJ's Powerhouse guitarist Dunc Ferguson). Aurora only released one single, "I'll Be Your Fantasy", breaking up almost immediately afterward despite plans for a full-length album. The self-released single had a mainstream hard rock sound reminiscent of Thin Lizzy. Drummer Simon Wright would go on to play for AC/DC, Dio and many others.
