Just seeing this after a “shit storm” morning of meetings.

I can’t adjust weighting, but can let Chris know.

JP from Metal Rules is doing some interviews with record collectors. I bet many Day Crew members are way past the 1000+ cds, cassettes, records. I'm in the 500+ so I thought it would be cool to have one of our own interviewed.

I had quite the huge vinyl collection for awhile (it doubled in size when my brother moved years ago and did not want to lug it along with him) but have sold off 90% of my, and my brothers vinyl (yes, he got the money for his stuff). Main reasons were space, I did not get to spin the vinyl very often and I like to play my music instead of it statementing on a shelf, and the allure of escalating prices of metal and rock vinyl made it worth selling for some decent cash. I also sold off some cd box sets, as example; the Iron Maiden first ten years (with the super hard to get UK storage box) for the same reason, the value was really high and I did quite well on many of these sets.
That being said, I still have some of the vinyl, mostly albums that did not come out on cd or a few that I simply have a personal attachment too. But I still have many cd's, have not counted in awhile, but well over the 1000 for sure. Some rare stuff in there too, although I play them all, rare or not, I try and give everything a spin now and again. I also have quite a large music DVD collection, some real deal documentaries and concerts, and some things that I captured to DVD myself over years from tv and YouTube. Guessing there is a few hundred there too.
I keep in touch with Keir on occasion outside the site so I'll shoot him the link and see if he is aware. that guy has a massive, super rare collection of goodies!

Metallica - The Frayed Ends of Sanity (7:43)
(By Request)

From: ...and Justice for All

Blackened Records, Metallica's own record label just released the remastered version of the original Garage Days Re-Revisited. They are working their way through the catalog an album at the time.
I bring this up because Justice is next in line.
I am probably speaking to the choir when I say this album is in dire need of re-master. I haven't run out and bought the other albums because they sound fine to me, but this one, well it's one of the best thrash albums with the worst production. There is a slew of conspiracy theories as to why this happened; Lars blames the producer (hmmm), the producer blames Lars (I like Lars but am leaning in this direction), some goobers blame Jason (how could this be Jason's fault??).
The Met fan bass has asked for this for YEARS, for this album to be remastered with the bass lines back in and the suppression (as opossed to compression) off.
There are two ways this could go:
1) There is word around the "Met world" that Jason's original studio bass tapes still exist and are in the hands of Metallica since they bought back everything they ever created when they started Blackened Records a few years ago.
2) If the tapes are MIA, they could bring Robert into the studio and lay down new bass tracks. This would certainly work, all one needs to do is go listen to any live version of a Justice tune and you can clearly hear Robert laying down the correct bass chords (I was spinning the Through the Never live soundtrack in the car and the Justice title track is on there and Robert sounds awesome!).

If this does not happen, a re-master with incredible, clear bass chord tracks and the suppression off, there may be a mutiny! I track the Metallica camp pretty close so will update as we move forward in the next few months as the Justice remaster comes to light.

How is that I have never seen D:A:D requested by a single member yet SAM keeps dishing up their shitty songs. Is Chris a big D:A:D fan and has weighted this artist heavily? There is no logical explanation for this constant shit show. :shit: :smashpc: :shit: :smashpc: :shit: :smashpc:

I feel the same way about Steel Panther. That fake, parody crap comes by here at last twice a day, sometimes more. I would rather have some deep cuts from "real" glam bands of the 80's instead of this bullS...

What your observations indicate is that the site has deviated from the true hard rock and metal of the 80s course of rectitude. Read that, site admin is RIP...retired in place. 'nuff said

Was I the only one that instantly thought of Radar Rider by Riggs when I saw this for the first time the other day?

In the small, old-fashioned world of Old Town, the Goodman family and their innocent 6-year-old son Tommy own a border collie named Mr. Pickles. The two spend their days romping around Old Town, while unknown to Tommy and the family – except for Tommy's grandfather – Mr. Pickles' secret evilness drives him to slip away, kill, mutilate, and rape his countless victims.
